Front Porch Wisdom is a collection of short life lessons, country wisdom, spiritual encouragement, and practical truths from my heart to yours.

I created these little messages because I believe we all need reminders along the way — reminders to be kinder, wiser, stronger, more prayerful, more discerning, and more loving as we travel through this life.

I was born and raised in the hills of West Virginia, where folks learned a lot by watching, listening, praying, laughing, working hard, and sitting with the elders. Some of the greatest lessons in life are not always taught in classrooms. Sometimes they are passed down on porches, around kitchen tables, beside church pews, and in everyday conversations with people who have lived long enough to know a little something.

That is the spirit behind Front Porch Wisdom.

These messages are short, but they are meant to stay with you. Each one offers a simple thought to help you live a little better, treat people a little kinder, trust God a little deeper, and walk through this world with more wisdom and grace.
